About Our Venison & Sourcing

Where does your venison come from?
All of our venison is sourced from wild fallow deer ethically managed in the South Downs, primarily around Graffham, West Sussex. We work closely with Natural England, Sussex Grazed, and the South Downs National Park to support habitat restoration and biodiversity through responsible wildlife management.

Is your venison farmed?
No - our venison is 100% wild. The animals roam freely in woodlands and pastures and are managed for conservation, not commercial farming.

Is your meat traceable?
Yes. Every pack is traceable to its source and handled through regulated, licensed game processing systems.

What is a Venison Browsing Box?
Our Venison Browsing Boxes are curated selections of wild venison—mixed cuts designed for everyday cooking, BBQs, or batch prep. Each box offers excellent value and variety, with a surprise bonus item included.

How many box options are there?
We currently offer three boxes:

Box 1: Meat Lover Special (£115, 6–7kg) — Free delivery
Box 2: Easy Cook Selection (£64, 3–3.5kg) — £12 delivery
Box 3: Firestarter BBQ Box (£48, 2–2.5kg) — £12 delivery

Do you offer substitutions?
We may substitute items of equal value and type depending on availability. Rest assured, your box will always be balanced and fairly packed.

Can I request gluten-free options?
Yes. Our Herbinator sausage or burger is gluten-free and available on request. Simply leave a note at checkout or contact us directly after ordering.

How long does the meat last?
All meat is vacuum-packed and frozen at peak freshness. Store in your freezer and consume within 6–9 months for best results. Once defrosted, cook within 24 hours.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver across mainland UK. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, just drop us a message.

How much is delivery?

Box 1: Free
Box 2 & 3: £12 flat rate
We use insulated, couriered delivery to ensure your meat stays frozen and fresh.

When will my box arrive?
We usually ship weekly, with delivery slots confirmed via email. You’ll get a tracking link and guidance on how to safely store your box.

Cooking & Eating

How should I cook wild venison?
We include a range of quick-cook and slow-cook cuts. You’ll find recipes and tips on our Instagram and newsletter - great for beginners and seasoned home cooks alike.

Is venison lean?
Yes! Venison is naturally lean, high in protein, and packed with iron and essential nutrients.
